The 1st Annual Miles for Smiles 5K Fun Walk benefitting Riah's
Rainbow was held on Saturday, May 15th, 2010. Miles for Smiles is named after Mariah Jean Klein, a 4-year-old
who lost her courageous 16-month battle with a rare cancerous brain tumor on August 31st, 2008. With this
event, Riah's Rainbow raised enough funds to be able to brighten children's faces with smiles
and better their quality of life while enduring treatments in hospitals, raise awareness for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine
Glioma, and most importantly, provide funds for research to find a cure for this terminal cancer. Half of the events proceeds is going to The Cure Starts Now. A foundation who has successfully funded many pediatric brain tumor research protocals to help families
find a cure for their children suffering with this awful disease. We
want to thank the many supporters that came to the event. The day was filled with fun, laughter and memories.
Here are some pictures for you to enjoy! Pictures of Event Hope to see you next year!
